Retailing in Vietnam is forecast to reach USD 173 billion by 2023, an increase of 61% from USD 108 billion in 2018 (According to Euromonitor International)
E-commerce growth is forecast to double to USD 10 billion in 2020 from USD 5 billion in 2016. Vietnam is the second fastest growing e-commerce market behind Indonesia (according to a report by Google and Temasek)

The Boston Consulting Group say Vietnam’s “middle and affluent class” is expected to double to 33 million people by 2020. Vietnam’s expanding middle class and rising income levels also pose attractive opportunities for consumer and the retail sector

Total household spending is forecasted to grow by 50% from USD 132 billion in 2018 to USD 198.2 billion in 2022 (accord- ing to Fitch Solutions). This strong growth fosters fast growth in franchise sector and E-commerce market
