VIETRF 2023 | PRESS RELEASE

VIETRF 2023: THE 14TH VIETNAM INTERNATIONAL RETAILTECH AND FRANCHISE SHOW

The franchise industry in Vietnam is thriving more than ever, with a diverse array of sectors involved. The year 2023 is regarded as a pivotal moment for Vietnam’s franchising sector, as an increasing number of individuals are embarking on entrepreneurial ventures by either acquiring franchise rights or creating brand-new franchises, achieving success not only in the domestic market but also internationally.

The food and beverage (F&B) sector in Vietnam is widely recognized for its significant potential, having generated approximately $200 billion in market revenue in 2019, as reported by Statista Market Research. Projections indicate the possibility for this figure to double, reaching $408 billion by the year 2023. The F&B industry kick-started the growth of franchising in Vietnam back in 2007, and even as various other industry sectors have emerged, it continues to maintain a substantial presence within the market.

Vietnam is a flourishing market, blessed with the advantages of a substantial population nearing 100 millions, making it a prime destination for the consumption of goods and services. Furthermore, rising incomes and improved living standards offer an opportunity for brands to expand their operations. Consequently, to capitalize on the present opportunities, both brand proprietors and franchisees must adopt a prudent approach by diligently researching information, cross-referencing data, and seeking guidance from experts. In this context, seminars and exhibitions are widely regarded as the most effective means to learn about and connect with potential partners.

Gathering 250 Retailtech and Franchise brands

The Vietnam International Retailtech and Franchise Show (VIETRF 2023) will take place from November 2nd-4th at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh.

The 14th VIETRF continues to be organized under the collaboration of COEX, Retail and Franchise Asia and Vinexad. This year’s show features a scale of 200 booths, bringing together over 250 brands from 15 countries namely Vietnam, Korea, Dubai, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Russia, Japan, USA, England, Australia, Thailand..

Some prominent international brands include Automatic Laundry Stores like Heramo, Wash Friends; F&B Brands like 1P30S, Novuz, Doore (Korean Fish Cake), BARI-UMA Ramen; Store Technology and Equipment Brands like Gosell, A Dong, Titanium Synergy, KPIS, Wei Chuang, Loymax,…

Trade cooperation opportunities for investors

The exhibition offers prospects for collaboration between brand proprietors and both local and international investors via the “1:1 Business Matching” program, designed to optimize in-person interactions at the event. Participating individuals and enterprises will benefit from services such as pre-scheduled appointments and interpreter assistance for discussions with global brands.

Experts have foreseen a robust future growth in the service sector, particularly in areas such as personal care encompassing beauty, healthcare, and education. Additionally, family-oriented services like home repairs and cleaning, along with organizational services such as human resource training, coaching, and financial services, are also expected to flourish. This presents a favorable opportunity for investors to acquaint themselves with and engage new franchise brands emerging in these diverse fields.

Apart from franchising, companies offering solutions and equipment in the realm of store technology account for the majority of this year’s event. Following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, consumer behaviors and preferences witnessed significant shifts. As a result, the integration of technology into retail operations has garnered considerable interest from businesses. This encompassed various technologies like artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital assistants, robots, and especially virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
